Dharma Field is in southwest Minneapolis, at 3118 West 49th Street. The cross streets are West 49th Street and York Avenue South, one block north of 50th Street and one block west of Xerxes Avenue South.
Streets in this part of Minneapolis are not continuous. The intersection of 49th Street and York Avenue South is one of many with a traffic diverter. We recommend that unless you are familiar with the neighborhood, you travel on either 50th or Xerxes. BY PUBLIC TRANSIT Metro Transit Routes #6 (on Xerxes) and #46 and #146 (on 50th) make stops one block from Dharma Field. From the Airport, take the Hiawatha LRT to the 46th Street Station. Take the #46Bor #46C to 50th and Xerxes. Walk north one block, then west one block. BY CAR From Highway 62 (Crosstown), take the Xerxes Avenue exit and head north. Turn left onto 49th Street. From Highway 100, take the 50th Street exit and head east. Continue on 50th past France Avenue and into Minneapolis. Turn left on Xerxes Avenue. Turn left at the first street (49th). From Interstate 35W, exit at 46th Street, and go west. Turn left at Lyndale Avenue. Turn right on 50th (heading west). At Xerxes Avenue, turn right. Turn left on the first street (49th). |
